Cactus has been waiting for his little roommate to get his own bed, and his face in this clip says he has had enough of sharing. Cowboy, the rescue puppy, is perfectly happy sleeping in Cactus’s bed, so their dad, Michael, decides to buy him one of his own. In the video shared by @cactustherescue, dad heads to the pet store and gets the puppy a fluffy new bed.
Back home, everything looks like it has worked out beautifully. Cowboy has his own cozy spot, Cactus has his bed back, and everyone can relax in their own space. Then Cactus takes a closer look at the new bed and that’s when the furry brother situation gets complicated.

Cactus starts the video sitting on the living room floor unhappily while Michael asks whether Cowboy is in his bed again. Then dad asks him if he should get the puppy a new bed. The answer comes with a very enthusiastic tail wag. Yes, please.
At the same time, Cowboy is happily lounging in Cactus’s bed, even nipping playfully at Michael’s hands when he hears about the plan. Off dad goes to the pet store, where he picks out a fluffy donut bed that looks quite a lot like Cactus’s. Once home, Cowboy gets his grand introduction. Michael puts him down beside the new bed and tells him, “Go get your bed!” Cowboy seems excited, while Cactus immediately runs over to inspect the purchase.
For a little while, the plan actually works. Cowboy settles into his new bed, rolls onto his back, and gets some belly rubs while Michael tells him how cute he looks. Then the video cuts to Cactus. He climbs into the smaller bed and sits down. Michael can barely believe it. “Cactus! That’s Cowboy’s bed!” he says, before admitting that the plan has rather spectacularly backfired.
The clip has collected more than 87k likes in less than 24 hours, and viewers saw the ending coming. “If I fits, I sit,” one person wrote. Someone else pointed out that this is just how things work when there are two dogs. What belongs to Cactus belongs to Cowboy, and apparently the reverse is true, too.
The owner had hoped Cowboy’s new bed would give Cactus some space of his own. Instead, the furry brothers may have simply decided that every bed is a shared bed now.
