Even if you’re the person who brought a pet home, sometimes you just aren’t their favorite person in the house. And Odin, the Belgian Malinois, made that very clear recently. He is a high-energy pup from @belgiam_malin. His favorite thing to do, according to his bio, is play. And that is what he is trying to do in this video. It shows what happens when a big dog decides that grandpa is the only person on earth whom he wants to play with. Honestly, the poor guy couldn’t even sit down for a second. An Odin-shaped shadow followed him everywhere.

Video proves big dog only wants to play with grandpa and won’t leave him alone

The clip opens in the living room, and Odin is already in action. He jumps right onto the couch and shoves his face into the crook of grandpa’s arm. It’s his way of saying “get up.” There is another dog right there on the sofa who is just totally unbothered. However, the dog is on a mission. In the video, grandpa laughs as the big dog makes him get up from the couch. The person filming can’t help but giggle too, but Odin just sits there and watches him walk away, like he’s asking where the fun is going.

Next, the man goes to check on the human grandchild nearby, and Odin is right behind him. He won’t give him an inch of space. When grandpa comes back and tries to sit on a different couch, the pup follows him there, too. He starts letting out these little grumbles. And then he actually grabs the sleeve of the hoodie. He is literally trying to pull him into a game.

One viewer commented that “It’s tough being a mals favorite person.” And it sure looks like it. Another person said he’s just trying to get the “old man” to get up and dance. This post got over 2.1k likes, as of the time of writing. Owners of the same breed are saying, “I have one, I know.” It’s just that intense Malinois drive. They don’t just want to play, they NEED to play.

Grandpa eventually just walks to the window because he can’t go anywhere else. Odin is still keeping a very close watch. In the end, it is just a very sweet bond, even if it is a bit exhausting for the human involved.
