A dog named Marge needs but one thing from her owner — love. The rescue pup, featured on @largemargedog, sits on a rug, staring at her owner as if she wants him to stop everything he is doing and shower her with all the love in the world. No, she does not bark or bounce around. Instead, she just stares relentlessly, knowing that it would definitely melt her owner, and it does.

In the video, once the dog receives some love, she asks for more by lifting one paw and reaching it straight toward her owner, to which her human responds by saying, “Oh, you need more attention?” and he obliges. The video then shows Marge’s “big schnoz” taking over the screen as she receives the petting she deserves. This dog wants love and attention, and she wants it now.
Once that is over, Marge is still not satisfied, repeating the move where she lifts her paw for some more affection. Her owner says, “So greedy today for lovins,” as he gives Marge more “scritches.” The video’s caption states the obvious, reading, “Marge requests some lovins!”
Naturally, viewers loved the exchange, with one commenter stressing, “What Marge wants, Marge gets,” and another writing, “Just look at her. I would just pet her so much that my arm wouldn’t fall off.” Meanwhile, a third viewer was sure, “She needs a snack , a hug , and a nap.”
The paw-tap is a learned move for a lot of dogs, because if reaching out gets attention in the form of pets or even someone looking up from their phone, dogs tend to repeat it. They figure out which small gesture earns them some reaction. And Marge’s version feels especially winning because she lets her puppy eyes do the talking. And judging by the comments, most people would happily give her exactly what she came for.
